Fixing Location Problems


Enable Location Services


Android:

  • Settings > Location > ON
  • App permissions > Life with Pi > Allow

    • iOS:

  • Settings > Privacy > Location
  • Life with Pi > While Using

    • Improve Accuracy

  • Enable High Accuracy mode
  • Be near windows/outdoors
  • Wait for GPS lock

    • Common Issues


    Location not updating:

  • Toggle location off/on
  • Restart app

    • Wrong location shown:

  • Manually enter address
  • Drag pin to correct spot

    • "Location unavailable":

  • Check device location settings
  • Grant app permissions
